Police said they are investigating a shooting that wounded a man who was standing outside a tent along the Los Angeles River near the 405 Freeway Wednesday evening.

Police said they learned of the shooting around 8:07 p.m. When officers arrived at the crime scene, they found a man who’d been shot in the upper body.

The man was taken to the hospital, and police began investigating. So far, they have not been able to determine a motive for the shooting, and suspect information was not immediately available.

Police said the man’s wounds did not appear to be life-threatening.
