A man was transported to a local hospital after being stabbed Saturday night in North Long Beach, according to authorities.

Officials responded to the incident at about 9:10 p.m. in the 200 block of 67th Way, near the Compton border.

The victim was in a domestic altercation with a woman before being stabbed in his upper torso, said Long Beach police spokeswoman Shaunna Dandoy. 

The woman fled the scene before officers arrived, Dandoy added.

The investigation is ongoing.
