A man was hospitalized after being stabbed by a woman downtown Friday night in what authorities described a domestic violence incident.

Police responded to the stabbing at 8:17 p.m. in the 600 block of Shoreline Drive, according to Long Beach police spokeswoman Jennifer Arzola.

The man suffered a non-life threatening knife wound, she said.

The woman was arrested and taken to jail in Long Beach where she was booked for domestic violence-related charges along with outstanding warrants.
