A man suffered non-life threatening gunshot injuries Saturday following a shooting on the 1800 block of Myrtle Avenue.

Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) officers were dispatched to the area in response to a report of shots heard at about 1:36PM, said LBPD spokesperson Marlene Arrona.

Upon arrival, officers discovered evidence that a shooting had occurred, but police have not disclosed further details about the evidence.

Officers found a man at a local hospital who sustained a gunshot injury that appeared to be non-life threatening.

The investigation is ongoing and is being treated as possibly gang-related, Arrona said.
