A man and woman have been arrested following a suspected gang-related drive-by shooting that ended in a hit-and-run vehicle collision on Pacific Coast Highway over the weekend, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to the location of the shooting near Pacific Coast Highway and Magnolia Avenue on Sunday, March 27 at 4:45PM, according to LBPD spokesman Brad Johnson.

No one was hit during the shooting, he added.

“The suspects fired at an unknown victim, possibly another vehicle,” Johnson said. “After the shooting the suspect vehicle was involved in a hit-and-run accident and their vehicle was disabled in the area of Pacific Coast Highway and Daisy [Avenue].”

Officers apprehended two suspects, a man and woman, and recovered two guns during the investigation, according to officials.

The incident is being investigated as possibly gang-related, Johnson said.
