Police are looking for the gunman who shot a man in Long Beach’s Rose Park neighborhood Wednesday night.

The shooting happened around 10:13 p.m. near Molino Avenue and 10th Street, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Medics rushed the victim to the hospital with a wound to his lower body that didn’t appear to be life-threatening, police said.

The shooter fled in a vehicle before officers arrived. Police didn’t have a suspect description, only saying that the shooter was a man whom the victim did not know.

A motive for the shooting is still under investigation.
