Homicide detectives are investigating after a homeless man’s body was found today in the water near Shoreline Village, although it’s unclear at this point whether there was any foul play involved in his death, authorities said.

The body was found around 6 a.m., according to LBPD spokeswoman Nancy Pratt. There weren’t any obvious signs of trauma, she said.

Coroners officials said the man was homeless and identified him as Billy Turner, 39. An autopsy was scheduled to determine what caused his death.
