One of two suspects fired at a motorist who confronted the duo during an attempted vehicle theft in Long Beach on Saturday, authorities said.
The altercation happened at around 4:22 a.m. in the 1300 block of West 33rd Street — near Easy Avenue in West Long Beach — police said.
“The preliminary investigation revealed the victim confronted two male adult suspects breaking into a vehicle when one of the suspects discharged a firearm in the victim’s direction,” according to a statement from Long Beach police. “The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle. No injuries were reported.”
Police said the investigation was ongoing.
