An occupied vehicle was hit by gunfire in the city’s Zaferia neighborhood, Monday afternoon, but no one was injured, according to authorities.
The shooting occurred in the 1300 block of Temple Avenue, near Anaheim Street, at about 3:30 p.m., said Long Beach police spokeswoman Shaunna Dandoy.
Authorities said a woman was sitting in the driver’s seat of her vehicle, which was in the alley behind the 1300 block of Temple Avenue, when, they said, “she felt the vehicle get shot from behind.”
No injuries were reported.
Dandoy said police were continuing their investigation into the shooting a few blocks north at Orizaba Park, but no suspect information is available at this time.
