UPDATE | A victim who was found dead after a shooting in the MacArthur Park neighborhood of Long Beach Monday night has been identified, the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) announced today. 

The man was identified as 19-year-old Long Beach resident Delhaun Jackson. 

Three other victims of the same shooting remain in the hospital—two in stable condition, one in critical condition.

04/19/16 at 12:11AM | One man died and three others were hospitalized with injuries in a shooting that occurred Monday night in the MacArthur Park neighborhood of Long Beach, according to the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD).

According to Lt. Paul Baum of the LBPD, officers were dispatched at 8:43PM tonight at the 1200 block of 17th Street regarding a shots heard call.

Upon arrival, officers located four male victims. One victim was determined dead at the scene, while three other victims were transported to local hospitals, Baum said. 

One of the hospitalized victims is in critical condition, while the other two are in stable condition. 

Homicide detectives are currently at the scene of the crime, collecting video and “still trying to piece everything together” said Baum. 

The identity of the deceased victim is being withheld pending family notification. A woman who said she was the deceased victim’s grandmother said her grandson was 19-years-old and is survived by his one-year-old daughter, broadcast media reports stated.
