The man who was fatally stabbed during an argument Thursday night was identified this weekend as Juan Santiago, a 34-year-old resident of Long Beach. 

According to police, Santiago and two other men described as “acquaintances” were arguing in the 1100 block of 11th St. at around 10PM when the argument escalated into a physical fight. Santiago was stabbed multiple times in the torso by an unknown object and was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

It is unknown what Santiago and the two suspects were arguing about that led to the stabbing. The suspects remain outstanding.
