One person was killed in a vehicle that crashed on a freeway connector road near Paramount today.

California Highway Patrol officers responded at 1:19 a.m. to the transition road from the northbound 710 Freeway to the westbound 105 Freeway, where an SUV had flipped onto its roof on the transition road, according to reports from the scene.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel, CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig told City News Service.

The victim’s name, gender and age were not immediately known.

The CHP issued a SigAlert for the closure of the transition road from the 710 Freeway to the 105 Freeway for several hours while they investigated the cause of the crash. The alert was canceled around 4:15 a.m. Friday.
