One person was wounded in a shooting on the 710 Freeway last night, and an investigation is underway.

California Highway Patrol officers responded to the southbound freeway, just south of Del Amo Boulevard, shortly before 10 p.m. Friday. When the officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim in the driver’s seat of a white Toyota Tacoma with gunshot wounds, ABC 7 reported.

CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig told City News Service that the victim’s condition was unknown. No suspects were identified.

The CHP closed the southbound lanes of the freeway at Del Amo for several hours while they investigated the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
