A man was sitting at a Bixby Knolls bus stop early Thursday morning when someone drove up and shot him with a pellet gun, according to authorities.

The victim was at a bus stop near the corner of Carson Street and Long Beach Boulevard around 1:30 a.m. when the attack happened, Long Beach Police Sgt. Vincent Otto said.

“The victim was hit multiple times on his lower torso, but did not sustain any significant injuries,” Otto said.

Police weren’t able to get a detailed suspect description from the victim other than the fact that the attacker was driving a white car, Otto said.
