Long Beach police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of using a gun to rob two fast food restaurants in Central Long Beach.

The man is suspected of robbing a Subway restaurant on Pacific Coast Highway and Gundry Avenue on March 22 and again on May 20, then robbing a Taco Bell on Pacific Coast Highway near Stanley Avenue on June 3, police said.

“In each of the incidents, the suspect enters the restaurants, places an order with the cashier, and during the transaction pulls out a handgun and demands money from the employee,” police said in a release.

None of the victims were injured during the robberies. Detectives hope that by releasing security camera footage, someone will recognize the man and report him, the release said. Police believe he is between 18 and 20 years old with a medium build.

Anyone with information on the identity of this suspect should call robbery detectives Nancy Mora or Jacqueline Parkhill at 562-570-7464 or email [email protected].
