Long Beach police say they are investigating a drive-by shooting in Cambodia Town Monday evening where a woman and some of her relatives were targeted but no one was wounded.

At around 8:20 p.m. on Monday, March 8, police said they responded to a report of a shooting near 11th Street and Lewis Avenue.

At the scene, authorities said they found a woman who said she and several of her relatives were standing in front of a home in that neighborhood when an unknown suspect in a silver sedan pulled up and fired at them before driving off southbound on Alamitos Avenue. No one was injured in the shooting, officials said.

Upon further inspection, police said they found bullet casings at the scene and discovered that an unoccupied vehicle and building nearby had been struck by gunfire.

Authorities said there is no known motive for the shooting at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
