Police were investigating four shootings in Long Beach on Friday afternoon.
Fatal Shooting
A man is dead after he was shot in North Long Beach earlier this afternoon, police said.
Officers arrived to the scene in the 6500 block of Gardenia Avenue at about 12:30PM after receiving a shots fired call, said Long Beach Police Department Spokeswoman Marlene Arrona.
Upon arrival, officers found a man with an apparent gunshot wound, and Long Beach Fire Department personnel determined he was dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives were en route to the scene at about 4:30PM, Arrona said.
Man Shot in the Arm
Additional officers also arrived to the scene of a shooting in the 5800 block of Elm Avenue at about 1:30PM after receiving a call regarding an assault with a deadly weapon.
Arriving officers found a man who sustained an injury to his arm, Arrona said.
LBFD personnel transported the victim to a local hospital, where he is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was sitting in a vehicle when an unknown suspect fired from another vehicle, Arrona said.
Shooting on Ackerfield Avenue
Officers also dispatched to the scene of another shooting in the 5500 block of Ackerfield Avenue at about 3:02PM, where they discovered a man who sustained what appears to be a non-life threatening gunshot injury.
LBFD personnel transported the victim to a local hospital.
Shooting on East 15th and Pine
At about 4:10PM, officers dispatched to the area of East 15th Street and Pine Avenue regarding an additional shooting call.
Arriving officers found a man who sustained a non-life threatening injury, Arrona said.

No suspect information is available at this time for any of the shootings, and the investigations are ongoing.
