Long Beach police are investigating a shooting that left damage to a vehicle on New Year’s Day and is possibly gang-related, authorities said.

Officers were dispatched to a shots call on the 1300 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue on January 1, at 12:55AM, according to Nancy Pratt, spokeswoman for the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD).

Police found a vehicle struck by gunfire, but did not locate a victim or suspect, she said.
