Police say a 38-year-old man was wounded in a shooting during an argument at a Chipotle in downtown Long Beach on Sunday afternoon.
The shooting happened at about 1:45 p.m. inside the restaurant on Pine Avenue just south of Third Street, according to Long Beach police.
Two men got into an argument inside, then one of the men pulled out a gun and shot the other one in the upper body, LBPD spokesperson Jordan McGinley wrote in an email.
The victim, a 38-year-old man, was taken to a hospital for treatment of the injury, which was not believed to be life-threatening, McGinley wrote.
The suspected shooter fled before officers arrived. His description was not immediately available.
Police have increased patrols in the area following the shooting, McGinley wrote.
