UPDATE | Three people have been arrested and charged with murder in connection to the 2016 fatal shooting of a Long Beach man, according to the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD).

Murder charges were filed Wednesday by homicide detectives against Devin Marcus, 22, of Long Beach, Roosevelt Citizen, 23, of Compton, and Ellese Paschal, 25, of Compton.

Paschal, who was arrested Monday by LBPD detectives in the city of Victorville, is being held on $3.09 million bail.

Wright and Citizen were already in custody on unrelated charges.

Wright was also charged with shooting at an inhabited dwelling, gang allegation enhancement, and intentional discharge of a firearm—which took place in Los Angeles on May 16, 2016—and is being held on $4.04 million bail.

Citizen was also charged with gang allegation enhancement and possession of a firearm by a felon. He is being held on $4.05 million bail.

The announcement, made Wednesday evening, came over a month after police released sketches of two persons of interest in connection with the shooting death of 37-year-old Long Beach resident Victor Alford.

The shooting happened on the evening of May 15, 2016 near 61st Street and Orange Avenue in North Long Beach. Authorities said they discovered Alford with a gunshot wound to his upper torso before he was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries 10 days later.

5/18/17 at 4:59PM | Long Beach police are seeking the public’s help in identifying two persons of interest linked to the fatal shooting of a Wilmington man last May.

After help from the public and interviews with several witnesses, Long Beach detectives were also able to identify a red Mercedes Benz and a gray Volvo SUV with Nevada license plates that were seen fleeing the area immediately following the shooting, according to a release from the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD).

A composite of the two persons of interest was also obtained by detectives.

The female suspect was described as black and in her mid 20s with red hair at the time of the incident and light colored skin. The male suspect was described as also black and in his early to mid 20s with dreadlocks.

The incident took place on the evening of Sunday, May 15, near 61st Street and Orange Avenue in North Long Beach.

He was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries 10 days later.
