The Long Beach Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who committed a robbery to a Downtown Long Beach business last week.
Police said the suspect entered the business in the 100 block of Linden Avenue at about 6:30PM on July 9. He then approached one of the employees and had a brief conversation with the employee in which he brandished a knife and demanded money.
The employee then opened the cash register and handed the suspect money. The employee was not injured and the suspect ran north on Linden Avenue from the business, police said.
During the course of the investigation, detectives obtained video evidence of the suspect.
Detectives describe the suspect as a black man about 50 years old wearing a black cap, a blue-and-white plaid-colored shirt and blue jeans.
