Long Beach Police are currently investigating an early-morning shooting they believe may be gang-related, according to the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD).

At approximately 2:15AM on Thursday, officers were dispatched to a shooting in the 1600 block of Pacific Avenue, according to the LBPD. Officers located a male adult with multiple gunshot wounds, suffered while walking from his Long Beach apartment this morning.

The man was transported by the Long Beach Fire Department to a local hospital. The victim is expected to survive, as his injuries appeared to be non-life threatening, according to Marlene Arrona, LBPD spokeswoman.

No information is available yet on the shooter. Meanwhile, the incident is currently being investigated as possibly gang-related, according to the police.
