Police found shell casings on the sidewalk after getting reports of gunshots along the popular Retro Row business district in Long Beach Monday night, according to authorities.

Someone reported the gunfire around 11:15 p.m. on Fourth Street just east of Cherry Avenue, Long Beach police spokeswoman Shaunna Dandoy said.

Officers found the casings but couldn’t find anyone or anything that had been hit by the gunfire, Dandoy said.

Police don’t have any information on a possible shooter at this point, but they’re still investigating, Dandoy said.
