Woman brandishes gun during robbery at Bluff Heights 7-Eleven, police say

Long Beach police say they are investigating a robbery late last night at a 7-Eleven in Bluff Heights where a woman allegedly pulled a gun on an employee attempting to stop her from stealing alcohol.

Police say they responded at around 11:58 p.m. Monday to the store at Redondo Avenue and East Third Street.

At the scene, police learned that the woman stole alcohol from the business and brandished a weapon at an employee who followed her outside, LBPD spokeswoman Arantxa Chavarria said in an email.

Police are still looking for the woman who immediately fled the scene in a four-dour sedan, authorities said. No one was injured, police said.
