Rocco’s Deli Owner Arrested on Sexual Assault, Drug Charges • Long Beach Post

The owner of Rocco’s Deli Italiano, 52-year-old Long Beach resident Steve DeSisto, was arrested Wednesday for allegedly sexually assaulting a female he met at a bar last year.

DeSistoIn the early morning hours of January 15, LBPD arrested DeSisto at 1st St. and Liberty Court for the alleged attack, which occurred in August of 2013. According to Long Beach Police Department, DeSisto met the intoxicated victim at a bar and transported her to his residence near Ocean Blvd. and Orange Avenue, where he allegedly sexually assaulted the woman.

DeSisto has been booked on two counts of felony sexual assault, one felony count of drug possession and one misdemeanor count of photographing an unconscious person. He currently sits in Long Beach City Jail on a $2M bail while awaiting his arraignment, set for tomorrow.

The Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) believes that additional victims may exist.
