Police searched a North Long Beach neighborhood but came up without a suspect after reports of gunfire Sunday night.

Officers headed to the area around 49th Street and Long Beach Boulevard at about 10:30 p.m. after shots were reportedly fired, LBPD spokeswoman Jennifer De Prez said.

They set up a perimeter and called in a helicopter, De Prez said, but officers weren’t able to find any victims or suspects. They did find several bullet casings, she said.

Police are still investigating but didn’t have any further info.
