Five people were shot in an alley near 10th Street and Alamitos Avenue Thursday night, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

All five victims, three men and two women, were wounded in the legs or feet and are expected to survive their injuries, the LBPD said.

Investigators are still trying to determine who pulled the trigger and why.

Police said the shooting happened around 10 p.m.

When officers got to the scene, they found two wounded men and two wounded women who were then taken to the hospital by paramedics, LPBD Lt. Abram Yap said.

Soon, police were told about a third wounded man who’d already gone to the hospital himself.

The suspect is a man who was last seen driving a gray or silver minivan, Yap said.

Detectives are still investigating, and police said more officers will be deployed to the area in response to the violence.
