A man was shot and killed in the Coolidge Triangle neighborhood last night, and Long Beach police today are searching for suspects.

Officers with the Long Beach Police Department were called to the intersection of Long Beach Boulevard and Bort Street around 11:20 p.m. Thursday regarding reports of gunshots and found a man suffering from gunshot wounds, LBPD Lt. Gerrit DeJongh told City News Service.

Long Beach Fire Department paramedics arrived and took the victim to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities identified the victim as Rickie Taylor, a 27-year-old Long Beach resident.

Homicide detectives are investigating. There was no suspect information or details available about the circumstances of the shooting.
