Editor’s note: An earlier version of this story incorrectly said police believe the shooting may be gang-related. It is not being investigated as gang-related.

A man was shot by someone inside his home late Sunday night, but police said they had no information available on any possible suspects.

Police said the shooting happened around 11:05 p.m. in the 3700 block of Albury Avenue, near Woodruff Avenue and Conant Street.

When officers got to the scene, they found a man with a gunshot wound to his lower body, Long Beach police spokeswoman Arantxa Chavarria said.

Medics took him to a local hospital to treat wounds that weren’t life-threatening, she said.

Police asked anyone with information to contact investigators at 562-570-7370.
