A driver told police someone shot at his car as he was driving through North Long Beach Thursday night, according to authorities.

The driver wasn’t hurt, but he called to report the gunfire around 10:30 p.m., Long Beach Police Department spokeswoman Jennifer De Prez.

De Prez said the victim told police he was driving near South Street and Paramount Boulevard a few minutes earlier when someone opened fire.

The car wasn’t hit, but police found evidence of a shooting in the southbound lanes of Paramount, De Prez said.

Police didn’t have a detailed description of the suspect available, only that he was a man. Detectives are still investigating.
