Police are investigating a shooting near Houghton Park on Friday night where no one was hit, authorities said.

Officers were dispatched after they got reports of shots fired in the area of Linden Avenue and 61st Street, near Atlantic Avenue, at 6:15 p.m., according to Officer Benjamin Hearst.

While the officers found evidence of a shooting in the form of bullet casings, they didn’t find anyone who was hit by gunfire.

Police do not have a suspect yet, Hearst said.

“A motive, and whether or not the shooting is gang related is unknown at this time,” Hearst said.
