A 33-year-old male Signal Hill Resident was convicted today of raping two women on separate occasions in Long Beach and faces 16 years in state prison, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced today.

David Faavale Tautolo pleaded no contest to two counts of forcible rape in his appearance in court today, according to a release issued by the District Attorney’s Office.

According to Deputy District Attorney Safaan Ahmed, Tautolo reportedly grabbed his first victim at a bus station on January 14, 2014 and forced her into his car before he raped her in his vehicle.

Later, on October 16, Tautolo coerced the second victim into entering his car, took her to an alleyway and raped her.

The release stated Tautolo was located on October 17 and arrested for his crimes as the result of a Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) investigation.

Tautolo will be sentenced November 3 in at the Long Beach Branch of LA Superior Court. He will be required to register as a sex offender for life.
