SWAT officers searched for a gunman near 11th Street and Redondo Avenue on Thursday, but they ultimately weren’t able to find him, according to authorities.
Long Beach police said the situation started around 1:39 p.m. when they were called to a local hospital to talk to a man who walked in after being shot.
Officers determined the man was wounded after an altercation with another man on 11th Street where they believed the gunman was still holed up.
