SWAT officers and detectives raided a home near Long Beach City College’s Pacific Coast Campus early Wednesday morning where they seized 13 guns and arrested four people, according to authorities.

“Detectives served a search warrant for a suspect wanted for manufacturing and selling firearms illegally in Long Beach,” LBPD spokeswoman Allison Gallagher said.

According to Gallagher, three of the 13 firearms seized were “ghost guns,” meaning they’re untraceable, lack serial numbers and are typically built or assembled at home.

Police declined to say exactly when they started the search, but they swept through in the early morning and were still at the home in the 1300 block of Wesley Drive around 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Officers detained 22 people while they finished their search, according to police. Ultimately they arrested four of them, Gallagher said.

Police identified them as:

  • Terry Chan Teng, 35, of Long Beach. He was booked on suspicion of possession of controlled substances for sale. His bail was zero dollars, police said.
  • Pesamino Tuivaiave, 36, of Long Beach. He was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance while armed, being a felon in possession of a firearm, being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition, and possession of an assault weapon. His bail was set at $50,000, police said.
  • Victoria Ava, 38, of Long Beach. She was booked on suspicion of a possessing a controlled substance while armed, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of an assault weapon. Her bail was set at $50,000, police said.
  • Jack Evans Allen, 38, of Long Beach. He was booked on suspicion of possession of an assault weapon, manufacturing an assault weapon, child endangerment and negligent storage of a firearm. His bail was set at $100,000, police said.

Editor’s note: This story was updated with more information from police, including the detail that four people were arrested, not five as the department previously said.
