The Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) has arrested three adults—two men and one woman—in connection with the May 3 fatal shooting of 16-year-old Geron Lacy in the Ramona Park neighborhood of North Long Beach that is being investigated as gang-related, officials announced Monday.

According to a release issued by the LBPD, homicide detectives determined Lacy, whose uncle said he was walking home from a basketball game, had entered into a physical altercation with the suspects. The suspects left the location at the time, but returned a short time later, shooting lacy.

Lacy was found with an apparent gunshot injury to the upper torso by police on the 3300 block of East 65th Street at around 6:50PM. Lacy was declared deceased at the scene.

Homicide detectives have presented their case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and identified the suspects as:

Maria Marth Macias, 23, of Long Beach. She was arrested on June 17, arraigned on June 20 and charge with murder. She is being held at Los Angeles County jail, with bail set at $3 million.

Tyrone Devonte Moy, 19, of Los Angeles. He was arrested June 22, arraigned on June 24 and charged with murder and an ex-felon with a gun. He is being held at LA County Jail with bail set at $3.04 million.

Marvin Tyree Lard, 19, of Bellflower. He was arrested on June 25, 2016, arraigned on June 27, 2016 and charged with murder. He is being held at Los Angeles County Jail, with bail set at $3 million.

Lacy’s uncle, Antonio Gilbreath, publicly mourned the loss of Lacy in the days following the incident.

“Last night my 16 year old nephew, Geron, was tragically gunned down after a basketball game, as he walked home, which was only a block and a clear line of sight away from his house,” wrote Gilbreath in a Facebook post. “My sister Maria and brother in-law Damon, and a host of family had to endure seeing my nephew lay lifeless on the ground.”
