A burglary at a beauty supply store near the Traffic Circle sent officers across the city searching for the suspects early Tuesday morning, according to Long Beach police.

Police said they learned of the burglary at the store in the 4700 block of Pacific Coast Highway around 1 a.m. When officers got to the scene, they found glass on the front door had been broken, LBPD spokeswoman Jennifer De Prez said.

“The suspects were described as two adult males who fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle,” De Prez said.

Police were able to track the suspects to a home a few miles away in the Wrigley neighborhood, according to De Prez.

Officers set up a perimeter around the home on Daisy Avenue near Burnett Street and called in a helicopter, she said.

Eventually, they found stolen merchandise from the store in the home’s backyard, but the suspects were gone, according to De Prez.

“As a precaution, officers checked the well-being of other beauty supply stores within the city to see if other businesses had been targeted,” she said.

Police served a search warrant at the home later in the morning and found more evidence associated with the burglary, but they’re still searching for the suspects, De Prez said Tuesday afternoon.
