Two men have been arrested in direct connection to two liquor store robberies and are now suspects in others.
Currently unidentified outside of age and gender–a 36-year-old male from Signal Hill and a 23-year-old male from Long Beach–both are accused of partaking in the May 28 robbery of Bixby Knolls Liquor Store on Orange Avenue and the June 21 robbery of an AM/PM convenience store on Redondo Avenue.
The first robbery occurred at 8:45PM with one suspect wearing a large afro wig and brandishing a handgun, demanding money and lottery scratchers. The second occurred at 2:45AM and mimicked the previous robbery: suspect was wearing a large afro wig, brandished a handgun and requested money and lottery tickets. Both times, the suspects fled on foot.
While being held on $50,000 bail, Long Beach Police believe the suspects to have been involved in other unreported robberies and are asking for the public’s help.
