Two men were injured, one critically, during two separate shootings in Long Beach Monday night and early Tuesday morning, according to the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD).

Officers responded to a shooting call at 9:10PM on Monday, February 8 on the 2600 block of Adriatic Avenue where they located a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso, LBPD spokesman Brad Johnson said.

The victim was transported to a local hospital by Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) paramedics in critical but stable condition.

Authorities did not locate a crime scene.

At 12:25AM on Tuesday, February 9, officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of Spaulding Street regarding a shooting.

Police located an uncooperative male victim with a gunshot wound in the lower torso, Johnson said. He was transported to a local hospital by LBFD paramedics with non-life threatening wounds.

Both incidents remain under investigation. Authorities do not yet know if the shootings are gang-related.
