Long Beach police officers were dispatched to Belmont Shore early in the morning on July 26 after the Department received a call regarding a stabbing near Prospect and 1st.

Upon arriving around 2:35AM, police discovered two victims at the scene. Both were transferred to a nearby hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

According to Marlene Arrona of the LBPD, a preliminary investigation revealed that the two victims had an earlier confrontation near Archibald’s on 2nd Street. An unidentified male suspect then followed the two down the block, which is when the stabbing occurred.

The investigation remains ongoing.
