A 15-year-old boy who was wounded in an apparent gang-related shooting that left another 15-year-old boy dead on Sunday in South
Los Angeles died early Tuesday morning at a hospital, authorities said.

The crime occurred about 1:30AM Sunday near Manchester Avenue and the Harbor (110) Freeway, said Los Angeles police Officer Mike Lopez.

At least two suspects in a vehicle pulled up to a group, with one of them saying “Where you from” before several shots were fired, Lopez said.

La’marrion Upchurch of Long Beach died at the shooting scene, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter.

Monyae Jackson of Los Angeles died around 2:00AM Tuesday at a hospital, Winter said.

Two other people also were wounded but survived. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call (877) LAPD-247.
