Long Beach police are investigating a Monday night shooting that left a woman with a non-life threatening injury, authorities said.

Officers responded to a call of a shooting victim on the 700 block of West Pacific Coast Highway at 11:05PM on Monday, October 12, Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) spokeswoman Nancy Pratt said.

The female victim—who was struck by gunfire in the upper body area— was then found near Anaheim Street and Deforest Avenue, Pratt added.

Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
