Long Beach police said a woman was stabbed by a man during a domestic dispute on Seventh Street Sunday evening.

Police learned of the attack at around 7 p.m. after the woman arrived at a local hospital with wounds to her upper body that weren’t life-threatening, LBPD spokeswoman Shaunna Dandoy said.

The woman had been in an argument with a man in a residence near Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and Seventh Street before he stabbed her, according to Dandoy.

“Detectives believe the stabbing was the result of domestic violence,” she said.

Police are still investigating and haven’t yet made an arrest, Dandoy said.
