Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) detectives are still investigating a pair of weekend shootings that left two male victims with non-life threatening gunshot wounds in different parts of the city, LBPD spokeswoman Marlene Arrona said.
On Saturday at 3:52AM, East Division officers were dispatched to the scene on the 1000 block of Junipero Avenue, where evidence of an apparent shooting was located, but no victim.
During the investigation, police were then made aware of a 34-year-old Long Beach man at a local hospital with a non-threatening gunshot injury, authorities said.
On Sunday at 2:06AM, North Division officers were dispatched to the 5500 block of Atlantic Avenue where they found a 21-year-old male victim from Long Beach with what appeared to be a non-life threatening injury.
The incidents do not appear to be related, authorities said.
