
The Unitarian Universalist Church of Long Beach will host the much-heralded work of local artist Ramon Rodriguez this weekend, kicking off the festivities with a show preview tonight. The preview will begin at 6:00pm, and Rodriguez will be present to speak about his art from 7:00-8:00pm. The Unitarian Universalist Church is located at 5450 East Atherton Street.
Rodriguez’s show (Reminiscence: A Journey of Discovery, Growth and Meaning) showcases his talents as both a painter and sculptor, using techniques an styles that reflect his Bolivian roots. Rodriguez was born and raised deep in the heart of Bolivia, and has resided in Long Beach since 2002.
His work has been exhibited in the Museum of Latin American Art, the Pasadena Museum of California Art, and Long Beach’s own Gallery 33.
