A small earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.0 struck off the coast of Long Beach around 4:20 p.m. today, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Police in San Pedro and Long Beach say they have received no reports of damage or injuries resulting from the quake that struck off the coast about 13 miles south of San Pedro, about 16 miles south-southwest of Long Beach.

Officials at the Long Beach Police Department and Los Angeles Police Department’s Harbor Station in San Pedro say they didn’t even feel it when the quake struck.
