The USGS is reporting a magnitude 4.5 earthquake occurred at 7:49:46pm this evening 1 mile south of San Bernardino.  Originating more than 8 miles below the ground, experts say that the area has been ripe for a quake for some time.  No damage or injuries have been reported. 

The tremor was originally designated a 5.0 before being downgraded, and could be felt in Long Beach.  Click here for details.
