9:30am | A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck southern California in the early morning Tuesday, causing rumbling and rolling but no significant damage.

Residents were awakened by the quake – centered in Pico Rivera about 11 miles from downtown Los Angeles – around 4:05am. In Long Beach, spokespersons from both the Fire Department and the Disaster Management Bureau said there was no significant damage to report.
