Residents and business owners in Long Beach’s East Village will have the opportunity to vote for candidates for the Downtown Long Beach’s East Village Association (EVA) Board of Directors next week.
The list of nominees and their statements will posted on the EVA website on April 6, and the election will follow April 9, according to a statement from EVA.
In order to be eligible to vote, voters must be a resident of business owner within the East Village boundaries.
The East Village stretches from Long Beach Boulevard to Alamitos Avenue and Tenth Street to Ocean Boulevard, with quadrants’ dividing lines being Fourth Street and Atlantic Avenue.
Voters must show ID and proof of residency or business ownership with their voting neighborhood quadrant. Those who are eligible to vote in more than one quadrant must only choose one. Each quadrant will have a separate ballot.
The election will take place April 9 at 6:00PM at the ArtExchange, located at 356 East Third Street. New board members will be announced that evening, according to EVA.
