Eight vehicles involved in crash on Gerald Desmond Bridge; traffic backed up
Traffic is significantly impacted this evening after eight vehicles were involved in a traffic collision on the Gerald Desmond Bridge, authorities said.
Police no one was injured in the crash at 4:18 p.m. Thursday, according to a statement from the Long Beach Police Department.

The cause of the crash wasn’t immediately known.
The crash in the eastbound lanes involved at least two trucks and other vehicles, witnesses said.
