A family can no longer go back home after their residence sustained significant damage from a fire that broke out Saturday morning in North Long Beach.

Brian Fisk, a LBFD spokesman, said no injuries to residents or firefighters were reported. But he couldn’t confirm how many family members were displaced.

Fire crews were dispatched to the 100 block of 67th Street in a residential area near the 710 Freeway and 91 Freeway interchange at 7:33 a.m., Fisk said.

Firefighters at the scene reported seeing smoke coming from a single family home and quickly began fighting the flames.

Crews knocked out the fire by 7:44 a.m., Fisk said. A cause for the fire was not immediately known.
